New facial treatment – Dermaplaning!

It’s important that my ladies understand the key benefits of any new treatments I offer, that’s why I've put together this simple Q&A for my newest facial treatment!

Background

Firstly, it’s important to have a little bit of background knowledge: peach fuzz (technical term vellus hair) is a type of facial hair that's shorter, softer in texture, and lighter in colour compared to other hairs on your body. So, what happens when, inevitably, dirt and debris get trapped between this hair? That’s where dermaplaning comes in!

What is dermaplaning?

Ladies, dermaplaning is a facial procedure that promotes healthy skin through removing dead skin cells and vellus hairs on your face. The procedure aims to remove these small hairs and lift debris from the skin’s surface. Sounds good, right?

What are the benefits of dermaplaning?

For most, the treatment helps combat things like acne scarring, fine lines around eyes and rough skin texture. The reason both clients and I love this treatment is because my ladies come out of dermaplaning with smoother, brighter, and hydrated skin. An additional benefit - for my clients who wear makeup – is that your makeup sits better on the skin and lasts longer following dermaplaning. It acts as a perfect primer for your makeup.

How can I get this treatment?

This can be a standalone treatment for 30 minutes or, as I would recommend to my clients, incorporated into a lovely hour-long deluxe facial.
